Rajiv Vikash Kendra showed a good gesture by announcing sponsorship for promising athletes Amiya Mallick and Shrabani Nanda in Bhubaneswar today.
``We will provide each of the two athletes Rs 3,000 per month towards diet expenses and Rs 10,000 per year as kit expenses till 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi,`` said RVK president Suvendu Mohanty in a function here at Nayapally.
Amiya received his first cheque but Shrabani was absent on the occasion.
