Biswajit Nayak claimed the title in the State Youth (under-25) Chess Championship, which concluded at Secretariat Recreation Club in Bhubaneswar Saturday.
Nayak topped the table with 7.5 points from eight games. Debasis Das of Niali finished runner-up with seven points. Both the youngsters qualified to represent Orissa in the National under-25 championship to be held at Ahmedabad from July 1.
Final standings: 1. Biswajit Nayak, 2. Debasis Das, 3.BGP Mohapatra, 4. Subhranshu Satpathy, 5. Santosh Das, 6. Padmini Rout, 7. Aparajita Gochhikar, 8. Anwesh Upadhyaya, 9. Sumit Banerjee, 10. Sushant Bhoi.
