Odisha suffered a humiliating six-wicket defeat at the hands of minnows Tripura in their low-scoring league match of the East Zone Vijay Hazare Trophy Tournament at JSCA Oval ground in Ranchi today. Put into bat, Odisha were bundled out for 124. Tripura overhauled the target in 34.1 overs thanks to an unbeaten 42 by Yogesh Takawale.
The win fetched Tripura four points, while Odisha drew blank. This was Odisha`s second defeat in three outings and they went out of contention for knock-out phase. Odisha earlier lost to Bengal by 38 runs, while their match against Assam produced no result due to rain.
