Host Odisha achieved a hat-trick by making a clean sweep of all three singles titles in the AITA-OTA Talent Series Tennis Tournament, which concluded here at Kalinga Stadium today. Aditya Satpathy and Abhishek Mohapatra capped the treble by adding the under-16 and under-12 boys titles to the under-16 girls crown, which was bagged by Rutuparna Choudhury earlier yesterday.
Top seed Aditya proved himself too good in the all-Odisha under-16 final as he cantered past second seed Amrutjay Mohanty 6-3, 6-2. Unable to put a good fight, Amrutjay committed a lot of unforced errors before accepting defeat. The match witnessed an unpleasant happening in the second set as Amrutjay abused the ball and walked off the court in frustration.
