Orissa contributed four medals, including a gold, to India`s tally of 176 medals in the World Summer Games of Special Olympics held at Sanghai, China from October 2 to 11.
According to a release from the State branch of Special Olympics Bharat today, Orissa`s M V Viswanathan bagged a gold and a silver in cycling. He came first in 500 metre time trial and second in 1 kilometre time trial.
Rashmi Ranjan Mohanty claimed the second silver for the state in 400 metre sprint, while Firoz Alam secured a bronze as a member of the Indian handball team that finished third.
