Former India swing bowler Debasis Mohanty today retained his post as the coach of Odisha Ranji team, while forme Railway off-spinner Kulamani Parida and renowned batsman Rashmi Ranjan Parida were appointed as coach of state under-23 and under-19 teams respectively for the year 2016-17.
Decisions to appoint coaches, selectors and all other support staff for the new season was taken in a joint meeting of OCA Coaching Committee and Tournament Committee here at the office of the Hony secretary of Odisha Cricket Association Asirbad Behera. According to an important decision, Kalahandi Cup Senior Inter-District Tournament and the Under-19 Inter-District Tournament will be conducted in a new format, similar to Ranji Trophy.
COACHES FOR DIFFERENT STATE TEAMS: Ranji team: Debasis Mohanty. U-23 team: Kulamani Parida. U-19 team: Rashmi Ranjan Parida. U-16 team: Subrat Behera. U-14 team: J C Routray (Coach), Trinath Sahoo (Assistant coach). Women teams: Dhirendra Kumar Rout (Chief coach); Rashmita Mohanty (Coach, Senior & U-23); Itishree Pattnaik (Coach, U-19).
