Formidable Cuttack-A and Cuttack-B teams suffered upsets in respective preliminary league matches of the Inter-District U-16 Boys Cricket Tournaemnt at different grounds in Bhubaneswar today. Keonjhar rode on impressive allround performance by Bittu Thakur to beat Cuttack-A by two wickets, while a four-wicket haul by Sahil Khan helped Bhadrak get the better of Cuttack-B by nine wickets.
Jajpur, KIIT, Sundargarh and Dhenkanal posted wins in four other matches of the day. Among other notable performers, KIIT bowler Praveen Kumar Pradhan bagged seven wickets for 13 runs against Kandhamal and Sundargarh Aman Yadav slammed a sparkling 136 against Nabarangpur.
