Encouraging performance by Sushil Barik, Sambit Baral and Ritesh Priyaranjan helped Odisha beat Bihar by 61 runs in their second Elite Group-A match of the Vinoo Mankad Trophy U-19 Men One-Day Cricket Tournament at Cricket Stadium, Sector-16, Chandigarh today.
Chasing a challenging target of 180, Bihar folded up for 118. Earlier, opting to bat, Odisha mustered 179 for nine. Sushil Barik was most successful player for Odisha, top-scoring with a breezy 41 (32 balls, 6x4, 1x6) and picking up two wickets for 28 runs.
Sambit Baral was second highest scorer for Odisha with 36 runs. He also captured two wickets, conceding only nine runs. However, Ritesh Priyaranjan was most successful bowler for the winners, bagging three wickets for 23 runs.
