Odisha started their Ranji Trophy Elite Group-D campaign with a draw against Goa. But Odisha secured three points by taking first-innings lead in the four-day match, whch was played at Narendra Modi Stadium B Ground, Motera in Ahmedabad from 17 to 20 February 2022.
Electing to field after captain Subhranshu Senapati won the toss, Odisha took an eight-run first-innings lead by making 189, in reply to 181 by Goa. In the second innings, Goa rode on an unbeaten 165 by captain Snehal Kauthankar to declare at 394 for five. Chasing a victory target of 403, Odisha were 237 for seven in the second innings when the match ended in a drawn.
