Odisha bagged five medals in the Indian Grand Prix-3 Athletics Competitions, which was hosted by Government of Odisha, in association with Athletics Federation of India (AFI) and Odisha Athletics Association (OAA) at the iconic Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar today.
The lone gold medal for Odisha was won by Olympian Srabani Nanda. Running her first National-level race on home soil since June 2018, the 31-year-old sprinter bagged the yellow metal in womens 200m event with a timing of 24.04s.
Odisha male sprinters also achieved notable success in 200m event with teenager Aryan Ekka and Amiya Kumar Mallick securing silver and bronze medal respectively. Ekka also recorded his Personal Best of 21.87s.
