Odisha women won the bronze medal, beating Maharashtra 22-7 in the 3rd/4th place match in the 9th Senior National Rugby Sevens Championship, which took place at Pataliputra Sports Complex in Patna, Bihar from 9 to 12 June 2022. Odisha men finished sixth.
Bihar women and Haryana men emerged champions, defeating West Bengal 15-5 and Delhi 15-0 respectively in the finals. Bhagyalaxmi Barik and Bikranta Kumar Rauta captained the Odisha women and men teams respectively.
