Sunrise Club and Radha Raman Club were declared joint-champions in the Diamond Group of the FAO First Division Football League, which concluded at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack today. The two teams tied for the top position with 16 points each from seven games.
Both the teams won five games each, drew one and lost one. However, Sunrise secured the No 1 position in the group table with a goal difference of six plus (11/5), while Radha Raman settled for the second place with goal difference of 15 plus (19/4).
As joint-champions, Sunrise and Radha Raman will receive a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh each along with trophy. Odisha Sports Hostel and Young Utkal Club finished third and fourth respectively.
