East Coast Railway (ECoR) won the title in the 1st Hockey Association of Odisha (HAO) Senior Men Hockey Championships, beating Khordha 1-0 in a closely contested final match at KIIT University Hockey Ground in Bubaneswar today. SAIL Academy won the bronze medal defeating Sundargarh 3-2 in the 3rd/4th place match earlier in the day.
Roshan Kujur and Dilip Kumar Sa (both Khordha) won the individual award as Player of the Tournament and Best Goalkeeper respectively. Sunil Toppo of ECoR took the Best Forward award, while Best Defender and Best Mid-Fielder prizes went to Kerobin Lakra (SAIL) and Biju Ekka (Sundargarh) respectively.
