A 14-member Odisha squad bagged a total of nine medals for India at the World Abilitysport Games (WAG), which was held in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand from 2023. The nine medals included two gold, three silver and four bronze. Medal winners were: Jayanti Behera, Suchitra Parida, Swadhin Mahar (all para athletics), Deep Ranjan Bisoyee and Subhrajeet Maharana (both para badminton).
Suchitra Parida grabbed one gold medal in women F-54 javelin throw with an effort of 16.88 metres on December 6. She also secured one silver medal in womens F-56 shot put event, throwing iron ball to a distance of 5.23 metre on 8 December.
