Riding on the impressive performance of para athletes, Odisha stood 10th in the medal tally, bagging six gold, one silver and four bronze for a total of 11 medals in the ongoing first-ever Khelo India Para Games (KIPG) in New Delhi today.
Out of the 11 medals, para athletes have secured eight medals, which featured five gold, one silver and two bronze. Para powerlifters claimed one gold and one bronze while para shuttler captured one bronze. Among the para athletes, woman sprint star Jayanti Behera clinched a glorious treble, winning the 100m, 200m and 400m gold medals in T-47 category.
