Odisha FC were crowned champions in the 7th Indian Womens League (IWL) Football, trouncing Kickstart FC 6-0 in their 12th and last match at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar today. This was the first IWL title triumph for Bhubaneswar-based Odisha FC, who also qualified for the AFC Womens Champions League.
Serto Lynda Kom was the star of the emphatic win for Odisha FC today with a hat-trick to her name. Local star Pyari Xaxa also played an important role in the victory, scoring a brace. She also became the second top scorer in the league with a total of eight goals to her name.
