Odisha won two medals in the hockey competition of the 6th Khelo India Youth Games (KIYG) with the State mens team bagging gold and the womens team securing bronze at Mayor Radhakrishnan Hockey Stadium in Chennai, Tamil Nadu today.
Odisha men clinched the gold medal, trouncing Madhya Pradesh in the final 4-0. Earlier in the semifinals, Odisha men thrashed Jharkhand 6-1. They qualified for the semifinals by winning all three of their league matches in Pool A. Odisha beat Tamil Nadu 6-1, Madhya Pradesh 2-1 and Punjab 5-1.
