East Zone emerged champions in the Senior Women Inter-Zonal Multi-Day Trophy Cricket Tournament, defeating South Zone by one wicket in the thrilling final, which was played at MCA Cricket Stadium in Pune from 9 to 11 April 2024. Captain Deepti Sharma was the main architect of the East Zone win, bagging 10 wickets and scoring 68 runs in the final match.
Earlier, East Zone crushed North East Zone by an innings and 120 runs in the quarterfinals and North Zone by 135 runs in the semifinals. Odisha all-rounder Sushree Dibyadarshini got the opportunity to play two matches for the East Zone team.
