Bhubaneswar-A, Cuttack-A, Rest of Odisha-A and Rest of Odisha-B posted wins in the first four super league matches of the Kalahandi Cup Senior Men Inter District Cricket Tournament, which is being organized by Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) at different grounds in Cuttack on 5 and 6 June 2024.
Bhubaneswar-A rode on a century by Kartik Biswal and five-wicket haul by Ritesh Priyaranjan to crush Balasore by 265 runs. Manav Bhattacharya slammed 118 and Biswajit Mohapatra scalped five wickets to steer Cuttack-A to a 77-run win over East Coast Railway for whom captain Suryakant Pradhan hit an unbeaten 106 and captured three wickets.
A seven-wicket haul by Tarani Sa was the highlight of a 67-run win for Rest of Odisha-A against Nayagarh. Rest of Odisha-B demolished Bhadrak by 307 runs, thanks to a hundred each by Govinda Poddar and Om T Munde.
