A five-wicket haul by Suman Das propelled formidable Bhubaneswar-A to a 181-run win over Rest of Odisha-B in their super league match of the Kalahandi Cup Senior Men Inter-District Cricket Tournament, held at the DRIEMS Ground in Tangi, Cuttack on 14 and 15 June 2024. Captain Shantanu Mishra (97), Sai Shubham (93) narrowly missed respective hundreds for Bhubaneswar-A.
East Coast Railway, Rest of Odisha-C and Rest of Odisha-D registered wins in three other super league matches at different grounds in Cuttack. The Railway team rode on a century by Girija Rout and solid all-round performance by skipper Suryakant Pradhan to trounce Rest of Odisha-A by 331 runs.
Soubhagya Rout, Subham Satrujit and Nitish N Samanatray made impressive contributions as Rest of Odisha-C scraped past Nayagarh by two wickets. Sk Ajharudin bagged five wickets for 14 runs to enable Rest of Odisha-D thrash Bhadrak by 118 runs.
