As many as six new meet records (NMR) were established on the opening day of the 70th Odisha State Senior Athletics Championship at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar today. Department Sports & Youth Services, Government of Odisha is hosting the three-day championship in collaboration with Odisha Athletics Association.
Pradip Mahanta (Boys U-20 5000m run), Nikhil Das (Boys U-23 high jump), Chiranjib Singh (Boys U-23 shot put), Sunaram Murmu (Boys U-23 javelin), P Arpita Archana Sahoo (Girls U-20 javelin) and Dhanmati Xess (Girls U-23 javelin) set the six new meet records of the day.
