Odisha rode on a half-century by Sushree Dibyadarshini to beat Jammu Kashmir by 27 runs in their second Group-A match of the BCCI Senior Women T20 Cricket Championship at Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara, Gujarat today. The win fetched Odisha four points.
Electing to bat, Odisha lost two wickets for eight runs before mustering a good total of 151 for five. Sushree hit a 47-ball 51, which included seven boundaries. Sangeeta Khadia (44) and stumper Pragyan Paramita Mohanty (23 not out) also match notable contributions with the bat.
In reply, Jammu & Kashmir were restricted to 124 for three despite a defiant 49 by their captain Jasia Akher. Rima Laxmi Ekka and Subhra Nirjharini Swain picked one wicket each for Odisha. This was the first win for Odisha after a disappointing seven-wicket loss to Gujarat yesterday. Odisha will next meet Tamil Nadu on October 20.
