Hockey: Indian Men win match, lose series against Germany

Indian Men Hockey Team beat Germany 5-3 in the second of their two-match bilateral series against Germany at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi today. But reigning world champions Germany won the series, beating India 3-1 in the shootout. Earlier in the first match, Germany defeated India 2-0.

Three Indian players achieved personal milestones during the series. Defender Amit Rohidas earned his 200th international cap, while mid-fielder Sumit completed his 150th international match today. Rajinder Singh and Aditya Arjun Lalage made their international debut for India in the first and second match respectively.
