Odisha rode on a half-century each by captain Anushka Mohanty and Angel Raj, and a three-wicket haul by Punyoshri Mishra to beat Mizoram by 138 runs in their second Group-E match of the BCCI Women U-15 One-Day Trophy Cricket Tournament at BSP Cricket Stadium in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh today.
Opting to bat, Odisha compiled an imposing total of 204 for seven in the stipulated 35 overs, thanks to a 169-run partnership for the opening wicket between Anushka and Angel. The latter missed her century by two runs. Angel played 94 balls and hit 18 boundaries. Anushka scored a 94-ball 64 with the help of seven fours.
In reply, Mizoram were restricted to 66 for eight with Punyoshri picking up three wickets for six runs. This was the second straight win for Odisha, who earlier defeated Manipur by 88 runs.
