Odisha crushed Assam by an innings and 52 runs on the third and final day of their opening Group-B match of the Vijay Merchant Trophy U-16 Cricket Tournament at Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh today. The victory fetched Odisha seven points, while Assam drew blank.
Opting to bat, Assam were bundled out for 101. In reply, Odisha made 284 to gain a first-innings lead of 183 runs. Forced to follow on, Assam folded up for 131 in their second inning to suffer the crushing defeat.
