Brilliant all-round performance by captain Sushree Dibyadarshini propelled Odisha to a four-wicket win over Kerala in their fourth Group-B match of the Senior Women One-Day Trophy Cricket Tournament at Gujarat College Cricket Ground in Ahmedabad today. This was the second win for Odisha, who moved up to the fifth place in the group table with eight points in their kitty.
Sushree slammed an unbeaten century as Odisha overhauled a victory target of 199 in 45.1 overs, losing six wickets in the process. Her 100-ball 102 was studded with 12 hits to the fence. Earlier, Sushree scalped four wickets for 21 runs to enable Odisha bowl out Kerala for 198. With her stellar performance, she pocketed the Player of the Match prize of Rs 10,000.
D Janaki Reddy was another Odisha player to shine today, picking up three wickets for 28 runs and scoring a 48-ball 28. Odisha will next meet Nagaland at Narendra Modi Stadium Ground-A, Motera, Ahmedabad on December 12.
