Celtics Club, Cuttack and Bhubaneswar Athletic Association (BAA) won the men and women titles respectively in the 65th Odisha State Senior Basketball Championship, which concluded at Jawaharlal Indoor Stadium in Cuttack yesterday. In the two finals, Celtics men beat Ganjam 82-64, while BAA women prevailed over Puri 66-43.
As many as 32 men and 17 women teams participated in the six-day championship. Choudwar-Cuttack MLA Souvic Biswal and Odisha Olympic Association secretary Avijit Paul handed over the trophies in the closing ceremony. Odisha Basketball Association president Gyana Ranjan Parida and secretary Ashok Kumar Sahu were present on the occasion.
