Bijaya Laxmi Behera slammed an unbeaten century to power Odisha to a 229-run win over minnows Meghalaya in their second Group-A match of the Womens U-19 One-Day Trophy Youth List-A Cricket Tournament at Alur Cricket Stadium in Bangalore today.
Put into bat, Odisha were in deep trouble, losing four wickets for 44 runs. But unbeaten knocks of 130 (143 balls, 15x4, 2x6) and 68 (105 balls, 4x4) by Bijaya Laxmi Behera and Ananya Mishra respectively helped them compile a healthy total of 250 for four.
Bijaya and Ananya stitched together 206 runs in their unfinished fifth-wicket partnership. In reply, Meghalaya were skittled out for 21 with seven batters unable to open their accounts. MS Suvashri Priyadarshini Pramanik and SB Lorence shared the bowling honors for Odisha, bagging three wickets each.
