Odisha bagged five medals in wushu, kho-kho and weightlifting on the fifth day of the 38th National Games at different places in Uttarakhand today. The five medals featured one gold, three silver and one bronze. With these five medals, the total number of medals for Odisha became 14, which include four gold, three silver and seven bronze.
Wushu athlete Babulu Munda made Odisha proud as he clinched the gold medal in mens 48kg sanda event at Kanchenjunga Hall in Dehradun. He defeated Dhruv of Haryana in the final 50-14. Woman wush international Manju Munda secured silver medal in sanda women 45kg category, losing to Twinkle Bhandari of Madhya Pradesh 27-60 in the final bout.
