Odisha para archery sensation Payal Nag showcased her incredible talent by securing a silver medal in the women compound open category of the 2nd Khelo India Para Games (KIPG) at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi today.
In the exciting final, 17-year-old Payal, first archer of the world to compete without limbs, scored 129 points, while her idol and Paralympic medalist Sheetal Devi (Jammu & Kashmir) won the gold with 130 points.
Both Sheetal and Payal have been honing their skills at Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Archery Academy in Jammu-Kashmir, under coach Kuldeep Vedwan. Earlier this year, Payal, who hails from Balangir district, beat Sheetal to win the gold medal at the 6th National Para Archery Championship in Jaipur.
