A 32-member Odisha State squad bagged a total of eight medals in the 4th KIO Senior & U-21 National Karate Championship which was held at GMCB Stadium, Gachibowli, Hyderabad (Telangana) from 27 to 29 March 2025. The eight medals featured three silver and five bronze.
Valena Valentina lived up to her reputation as the most decorated karateka of Odisha, securing one silver in senior individual kata and one bronze in team kata. Trilochan Rana and Suromita Sinha were two other multiple medal winners for Odisha.
