Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) rode on an incredible haul of six wickets for three runs by Jasmuni Murmu to demolish Kalahandi by 10 wickets in their Group-E league match of the OCA Inter District Womens Cricket Tournament (T-20 Format) at DRIEMS Ground in Cuttack today.
Jajpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Dhenkanal and Keonjhar posted wins in five other matches of the day. Bowlers dominated the day as Purnima Ray (Keonjhar), Jasmin P Mekap (Kendrapara), Madhusmita Panda (Bhadrak) and Punyosri Mishra (Dhenkanal) captured three wickets each. Kajal Jena (Jajpur) was the only batter to score a half-century.
RESULTS (28 April 2025):
Match 65 (DRIEMS Ground): Ganjam 61/8 in 20 overs (Avilipsa Patro 20; Swarnalata Nayak 2/5, Anwesha Biswal 2/13) lost to Jajpur 62/2 in 7.4 overs (Kajal Jena 50*) by 8 wickets. PoM: Kajal Jena.
