Bargarh won the title in the U-15 Inter-District Football Championship for Chief Ministers (CM) Trophy, defeating Bhubaneswar by 3-2 goals in the final at Birsa Munda Athletics Stadium in Rourkela today. Champion Bargarh received a prize money of Rs 3 lakh, while runners-up Bhubaneswar were given Rs 2 lakh.
Earlier in the semifinals, Bhubaneswar mauled Nabarangpur 16-0, while Bargarh edged past Jajpur 2-1. Odisha Sports Minister Suryabanshi Suraj handed over the trophies in the presence of Football Association of Odisha (FAO) president and Jharsuguda MLA Tankadhar Tripathy.
