Cuttack Panthers emerged champions in the inaugural edition of the rain-marred Odisha Pro T20 League (OPTL), defeating Sambalpur Warriors in the final by five runs, via DLS Method, last night at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. Cuttack Panthers received a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh, while runners-up Sambalpur Warriors were given Rs 25 lakh.
The final match was heavily affected by continuous rain throughout the evening. Initially, the match was reduced to 10 overs per side. However, after 8.4 overs of play, persistent showers forced another interruption, and the contest was further curtailed.
