Khordha-Bhubaneswar District emerged overall champions in the 65th Odisha State Junior & Sub-Junior Swimming Championship, which was held at the Aquatic Centre, Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar from 23 to 25 July 2025. KIIT-KISS finished runners-up, while Sambalpur secured the third position.
Abhinav Kumar Singh and Anshika Aradhana Sahu (both Khordha-Bhubaneswar) were adjudged as best swimmers among boys and girls respectively. Both bagged five gold medals each. Khordha-Bhubaneswar swimmers also made a clean sweep of all six individual champion awards.
They were: Abhinav Kumar Singh (Boys Group-I), Anshika Aradhana Sahu (Girls Group-I), Sai Swarup Swain (Boys Group-II), Dhanvi Bhoumik (Girls Group-II), Sai Akshay (Boys Group-III) and Sahita Ghosh (Girls Group-III).
