Sambalpur upset Bhubaneswar 5-3 in the final, via tie-breaker, to win the 4th Junior (under-19) Women`s Inter-District Football Tournament at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Deogarh today.
Sundargarh finished third, defeating Kendrapara in a play-off match. Bhubaneswar`s Pinky Patra was adjudged the player of the tournament.
Deogarh Collector Ambika Prasad Mishra gave away the trophy at the closing function.
Fourty-seven probables were selected from the tournament for a coaching camp to be held at Deogarh from October 21 to 30. A 20-member Orissa team will be picked from the camp for participation in the Junior National Championship to be held at Gurgaon, Haryana, from October 31.
