As many as eight players shared the lead with two points each after completion of second round in the senior category of the Cuttack District Chess Championship, which commenced at Dr K C Sahu Women`s College in Cuttack today.
The leaders included Debasish Das, Biswa Ranjan Behera, Chaitanya Rout, Swayams Mishra, Arghya Arpan Parida, DPS Rao, Prashant Jena and Mohammad Ashraf. In the junior category, 15 youngster occupied the top spot with two points apiece. Around 100 players joined the eight-round tournament, which is being conducted by Cuttack District Chess Association.
