Sports Hostel, Bhubaneswar settled for silver medal in the Khelo India Women Hockey League (U21) Final Phase when they were trounded 5-0 by Pritam Siwach Hockey Academy, Sonepat in the lop-sided final at the Sports Authority of India National Centre of Excellence in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh today.
Pritam Siwach Hockey Academy is run by Dronacharya Award winner and former captain of the India women hockey team Pritam Rani Siwach. Her husband Kuldeep Siwach is the coach of the U-21 women team, which took home not only the trophy but also a cash prize of Rs 10 Lakh. Runners-up Sports Hostel, Bhubaneswar received Rs 6 lakh.
