Aryan Ekka, Rajesh Kumar Swain, Mahendra Santa and Omkar Prasad Nanda established New Meet Records on the second day of the 68th Odisha State Athletics Championship at KIIT & KISS Athletics Stadium in Bhubaneswar today.
Bhubaneswar sprinter Aryan Ekka created the New Meet Record in U-20 boys 100 meter run, clocking 10.62 seconds, while Puri thrower Rajesh Kumar Swain broke the Meet Record in U-20 boys hammer throw with an effort of 48.52 meter.
Nabarangpur runner Mahendra Santa rewrote the Meet Record in U-18 boys 100 meter sprint with a time of 10.75 seconds, while Cuttack thrower Omkar Prasad Nanda created New Meet Record in U-16 boys hammer with a throw of 54.92 meter. This was the second New Meet Record for Omkar, who achieved his first one in shot put yesterday.
