Odisha fought back from 1-3 down to hold Karnataka to 3-3 draw in their opening Group-B match of the 75th Senior Men National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy Final Round at Kottappadi Football Stadium in Malappuram, Karala today.
Jamir Oram (15th), Bikash Kumar Sahoo (62nd) and Chandra Muduli (76th) scored the three goals for Odisha, who would next meet Manipur at Manjeri Payyanad Football Stadium in Malappuram on April 19.
Goalkeeper Chinmaya Sekhar Behera is leading a 20-member Odisha team left in this championship. A total of 10 teams are battling it out for the coveted trophy in the Final Round. Teams would first play league matches in two groups. Odisha have been placed in Group-B with Gujarat, Karnataka, Manipur and Services.
