Hockey Pro League: Indian men win last home game

India ended their home stint in perfect fashion taking all six points available from the two games against Germany in the FIH Men Pro League at Kalinga Hockey Stadium in Bhubaneswar today. India won the second match 3-1, following their first one which they had won 3-0 yesterday.

Young Sukhjeet drew first blood for India, scoring a field goal in the 18th minute. Varun Kumar made it 2-0 with drag flick goal from a penalty corner in the 40th minute. The third goal for India was scored by Abhishek off a penalty corner in the 53rd minute. Anton Boeckel pulled one back for Germany in the 44th minute (FG).

With the double win against Germany, India stayed at the top of the table with 27 points from 12 matches. They won eight and lost two. In their 12 matches, India scored 54 goals and conceded 30 to finish with a goal difference of 24.
