Fine allround performances by Bikash Rout and Aditya Rout guided Dhenkanal and Koraput to wins over Nayagarh and Jagatsinghpur respectively in their Gold Group matches of the Kalahandi Cup Senior Men Inter-District Cricket Tournament at different grounds today.
Boudh rode on a six-wicket haul by Sobhandev Behera to beat Angul by four wickets in another match of the day. In three other matches, Bargarh defeated KIIT by seven wickets, Bhadrak prevailed over Ganjam by 110 runs and Balasore thrashed Keonjhar by 92 runs.
RESULTS (19 April 2022):
Match 37 (At Sunshine Ground, Cuttack): Angul 170/10 in 38.3 overs (Kranti Amanta 40, Rakesh Biswal 38, Nirnimesh Jena 26, Subhrajyoti Mishra 23; Sobhandev Behera 6/42, Anurag Kanojia 2/29) lost to Boudh 174/6 in 37.1 overs (Anurag Kanojia 52*, Prakash Jha 27, Manoj Nayak 23; Rakesh Biswal 2/29, Sandeep Singh 2/45) by 4 wickets.
