Amit Kumar Sahoo hit a 145-ball 191 to guide Paradip to a 156-run win over Malkangiri in their Silver Group match of the Kalahandi Cup Senior Men Inter-District Cricket Tournament at Sunshine Ground in Cuttack today.
Kendrapara, Nabarangpur, Puri, Sonepur and Rayagada registered wins in five other matches of the day. Dipti B Bihari was the main architect of the Kendrapara win against Nuapada, bagging five wickets for 38 runs.
Purna Chandra Majhi was another star performer of the day, hitting 130 that helped Nabarangpur maul Gajapati by 251 runs. Kshirod Majhi also scored a century, which however, went in vain as Kalahandi lost to Sonepur by four wickets.
