Odisha continued to achieve notable success in canoeing and kayaking discipline of the 36th National Games, bagging one gold and two bronze medals on the ninth day at Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad, Gujarat today.
Odisha also secured one silver medal in the day as the State women football team finished runners-up after going down to Manipur 0-2 in the final at TransStadia in Ahmedabad.
With the addition of four medals today, the total number of medals for Odisha became 23, which included four gold, eight silver and 11 bronze. Out of the 23 medals, canoeing-kayaking has contributed the highest of six, which includes one gold, one silver and four bronze.
