Sparkling all-round performance by Suchismita Panda powered Odisha to a 225-run win over Sikkim in the opening Group-F match of the BCCI Womens U-19 One-Day Trophy at Holkar Stadium in Indore, Madhya Pradesh today. Panda hit an unbeaten 50 and bagged five wickets for 10 runs.
Opting to bat, Odisha compiled an imposing total of 283 eight and then bowled out Sikkim for a paltry 58. Among other notable Odisha performers, captain Tanmayee Behera and Alipsa Biswal hit 88 and 41 respectively, while left-arm spinner SB Lorence picked up two wickets for 10 runs.
