A 13-member Odisha State squad returned home today after bagging a rich haul of 24 medals (10 gold, 9 silver, 5 bronze) in the 15th National Wheelchair Fencing Championship, which was held at Karan Stadium in Karnal, Haryana from 24 to 27 March 2023. The 24 medals
Odisha women team emerged overall champions, winning two gold and one silver, while Odisha men team finished overall runners-up, also securing two gold and one silver. Sheela Mantri and Pujaswini Nayak were joint-most successful among Odisha competitors, capturing two gold and one silver each in individual events.
