Ranji Trophy: Sandeep Pattanaik slams 150 in Odisha win

A second-inning century by Sandeep Patnaik and a match haul of eight wickets for 89 runs by pacer Rajesh Mohanty powered Odisha to a 238-run win over Himachal Pradesh on the fourth and last day of their fourth Elite Group-D Ranji Trophy match at DRIEMS Ground in Tangi, near Cuttack today.

This was the first win of the season for Odisha, who gathered six points. The achievement assumed added significance as host Odisha clinched won the match after conceding first-innings lead.

Sandeep Pattanaik scored 150 to be adjudged the man of the match. He faced 276 balls and hit 18 boundaries and two sixes. This was the fourth first-class century for Pattanaik, who had hit an unbeaten 100 in their previous Ranji Match at the same venue against Jammu & Kashmir.
