FAO Academy emerged champions in the U-13 Khelo India Women Football League, which concluded at Bidanasi Ground in Cuttack on 16 February 2024. In their last match, FAO Academy trounced Government Girls High School, Kazi Bazar 15-0. The champion teams received a cash award of Rs 50,000.
Bidanasi Club finished runners-up after their last match against KIIT & KISS ended in a 2-2 draw. Bidanasi Club claimed the second prize of Rs 30,000. The tournament was organised by Football Association of Odisha (FAO), in association with the Department of Sports & Youth Services, Government of Odisha from February 5.
Six teams participated in the tournament, which featured a total of 29 matches. Other two teams in the fray were: Popular Club and Kishore Club, Bhubaneswar. SAI-STC Deputy Director, Trailokyanath Sahoo was the chief guest of the presentation ceremony. Former women football internationals Sradhanjali Samantaray and Ranjita Mohanty were present on the occasion.
