Bhubaneswar-Khordha District Aquatic Association (BKDAA) emerged overall champions, bagging a total of 238 medals in the 64th Odisha State Swimming Championship, which concluded at the Aquatic Centre, Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar today. The 238 medals included 98 gold, 78 silver and 62 bronze.
Sambalpur finished runners-up with a total 88 medals, which featured 18 gold, 35 silver and 35 bronze. Hockey Promotion council of Odisha CEO Dipankar Mohapatra and former MCL Director Himanshu Sekhar Pati graced the closing ceremony as chief guest and guest of honour respectively and handed over the trophies. Odisha State Swimming Association president Pradip Kumar Padhee was present on the occasion.
