FAO First-Division League (Diamond Group) champions Sunrise Club clinched a double crown by winning the title in the FAO Super Cup Football Tournament at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack today. Sunrise beat Rovers Athletic Club 1-0 in the Super Cup final with Dinabandhu Das scoring the all-important goal in the 30th minute.
Sunrise received cash prizes of Rs 1 lakh each as the champions of the FAO First Division League and the Super Cup, while Super Cup runners-up Rovers Club received Rs 50,000. FAO First Division League Gold Group winners Kishore Club and Silver Group champions Junior Gallant Club were given Rs 75,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively. Top eight teams of FAO First Division League competed in the FAO Super Cup, which was organised by Football Association of Odisha (FAO).
